NE Area Neighborhoods Meet the Candidates

  • Date: 08/03/2017 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Location: Legacy Village
    4146 N University Ave

Riverside Neighbors,

We have scheduled a NE AREAmeet the candidates’ (ONLY mayor & city wide city council seat) event for Thursday night August 3rd from 7-9 pm at Legacy Village, in the multi-purpose room on the second floor.  It is open to all of the residents of NE Provo, please share this information with your neighbors.

The residents of Legacy Village will also be attending. (please be mindful of them, as this is their home.)

Due to the large number of candidates for each office there will actually be 2 separate events, that evening in that location.  The evening will be structured as follows:

7-8 pm – mayoral candidates

  • There will be a number of previously prepared questions, which will be provided to all the candidates a day or 2 prior to the event.
  • Each candidate will be given a specific time (generally 1- 2 minutes/question) to answer each question – strictly enforced
  • The order will rotate after each question
  • There will be NO questions or comments from the audience during the event
  • As the NE area rep, I will be the moderator of this event
  • Candidates may bring & distribute literature; however, there will be no booths or tables for candidates.

8-9 p.m. – city council candidates

  • Since I am a candidate, I will NOT be the moderator of this event.
  • Candidates may bring & distribute literature; however, there will be no booths or tables for candidates.

Please submit questions to me on or before July 30th, so they can be collated and distributed to the candidates.  (for the mayoral event, I will not accept questions after that time and I will develop a list of questions, if I do not receive a sufficient number of questions.)

Mike Roan

NE Are Representative.

PS remember this year the election is basically 100% vote by mail and everyone will automatically be receiving their ballot in the mail.  And, everyone should have received their ballot prior to this event.
